Meet Tracy Koivisto, MS, CCH, CN
Tracy weaves plant medicine, her clinical experience and astrology practice into a holistic wellness approach for her clients, serving as a guide for individuals on a healing path to honor their body’s innate wisdom, while being supported by their identified plant allies.
Tracy Koivisto has served as a medicinal herb grower, educator, clinical herbalist and land steward for many years at Colorado’s, pioneering StarHouse while also serving her community at Rebecca’s Apothecary in Boulder. In 2013, Tracy completed over 1500, hours of formal study in her clinical herbalism program. In addition to that she holds a Master’s Degree in Holistic Health Council with an emphasis on Somatic Nature-based Healing and EcoTherapy. while also being a registered: Clinical Herbalist, Nutritionist, Astrologer, and Nature Connection Practitioner. While her commitment to higher academia has served her path, the true connection and learning have come directly from her deep devotion and relationship with the plant world.
Tracy brings a wealth of nature-based, holistic healing background to her wellness practice and plant medicine making, connecting each individual’s body with nature’s intrinsic healing tools. In 2006, Tracy was faced with a debilitating illness that brought her to her knees. She turned toward a western herbalist and Naturopathic doctor for answers and restoration. This empowering healing journey would pivot her life and inspire the continued path toward becoming an herbalist so she could serve others.
She is inspired by her Finnish heritage and sharing her last name with her favorite tree~ (Koivu = Birch)~and has recently returned to her roots in the Iron Range of Minnesota, where she regularly leads group classes and workshops at the Ely Folk School and other locations. She is also available in-person, as a consultant, at her Apothecary located at the Ely Mercantile where she has a line of small batch botanical goods and wellness products.
